Maritime electrical installation work

Client: The Athena and Artemis
Project:Maritime electrical installation work

In 2011, TPS provided a group of 15 electricians who connected all systems on the Athena in eight months. We then supplied virtually the same group for the Artemis, a copy of the Athena, in 2012. The Athena is a self-propelled cutter-suction dredging vessel deployed in the construction of harbours in areas with a rocky seabed. It is a vessel that has to operate under extreme conditions which has significant implications for the electrical system. For example, all wiring attachments must be reinforced and well protected in order to prevent abrasions. We then supplied virtually the same group for the Artemis, a copy of the Athena, in 2012. This offered a unique advantage to the client as TPS managed to save around 10% on staffing costs because of the acquired knowledge and experience.
