For a client in Saudi Arabia, IHC Merwede constructed a cutter (dredging vessel) with an installed capacity of 23.545 kW in its yard in Kinderdijk. TPS was engaged for the electrical connection work and provided 11 electricians who connected not only switching boards but also alarm, monitoring, navigation, lighting, and other technical equipment. This project involved the laying of many heavy-duty cables that have to conduct the enormous power required. The vessel will be deployed to break up heavy, rocky soils and to remove the debris.
