Trust me, I'm an Engineer!

Meet Giovani Bolocan, a 26-year-old designer from Romania. Giovani joined TPS as a panel builder for our client eReM based in Zwijndrecht. It soon became apparent that a strong techie was hiding in him, with a thirst for more.

Whilst working as a panel builder, Giovani made no secret of his ambition for engineering (the design of control units). During his work as a panel builder, he wore a badge on his TPS overall with the text: “Trust me, I’m an Engineer!”. This did not go unnoticed at eReM, which eventually resulted in an opportunity for Giovani to prove himself as an Electrical Designer. Of course, he seized this opportunity with both hands and after just a couple of days it was evident that he wouldn't have any problems with his new role and that he learned quickly. Needless to say, his practical experience as a panel builder served him well with the drawing work. Giovani currently prepares as-built drawings in E-plan for various projects and will soon increase his knowledge when he attends a more advanced course for E-Plan. When things are busy in the workshop, after a day of designing, Giovani returns to the workshop to provide support during overtime hours.

Not only has Giovani been able to fulfil his ambition and see his career take off, but his employer is also very happy with him and the different work that he carries out.
